How much time does it usually take to process a pet adoption application by a rescue league?

I am very interested in adopting but they certainly don’t seem enthusiastic about our interest. Though I don’t know why. I’m sure that they are busy with their personal lives and I am very appreciative of what they do for these animals. I guess we are just anxious and excited.

not more than a working week. and as far as the actual papers it takes 20 minutes to fill them out. do you have a pet picked? it is generally easier and faster to go select a pet and then get it processed because many times they let you have it while they are being processed. if it is a animal that is awaiting spay or nueter or a time frame on shots that would also cause a delay. sometimes the real owner has found the animal also and they have not told you and that can cause a delay because they have already promised it to you and are seeing if the real owner wants to pay the rearage.
